Outdoor Areas

Children are naturally drawn to play outside and we know that young children need to be active to learn. There are numerous benefits of outdoor play, it allows the children to explore the environment, develop muscle strength and coordination, and gain self confidence. Playing actively outdoors also increases flexibility and fine and gross motor skills.

The outdoors provides a wealth of different opportunities to enhance the children’s development. Providing the children with free flow access to the outdoors enables the children to access the outdoors everyday to explore their natural environment. Our extensive outdoors environment provides the children with regular access to the woodland area, farmyard and fields where the play opportunities are endless. On the farm there  are rabbits, chickens, goats and a Shetland pony to help develop the children’s understanding of the world around them.
